Exciting things are happening at Brookline Golf Course!
As we kick off the 2022 golf season, there is much to be excited about. Weather permitting, we hope to open the course for golf by mid-March. The driving range will be open as long as we don’t have snow cover, and the range status is now being updated daily on our website.
As most of you know, our neighbor The Country Club will be hosting the 2022 U.S. Open in June. Our course will be used to support the event with parking and media logistics, as well as serving as the public safety headquarters. While this may scare some of you who remember the previous Open, precautions are being taken and the USGA has assured us that the course will be returned to “better than before” conditions. A Landscape Master Plan for golf course improvements is also now underway under the guidance of renowned golf course architect Mark Mungeam and a Town of Brookline Design Review Committee. The Landscape Master Plan will address course functionality, accessibility and aesthetics. If you haven’t already, we strongly encourage you to take a brief survey to share your feedback on this plan. You may access the survey here, responses will be accepted through March 15th. A similar Master Plan will be developed to address improvements in the clubhouse and surrounding areas. We will continue to provide updates on these initiatives in this newsletter.
And speaking of aesthetics, you may have noticed our new look – in this newsletter, on signage and elsewhere. We will also be launching a new website this spring to make engaging with Brookline Golf Course even easier.
Our marketing team is hard at work on a host of special deals and opportunities, which will be promoted exclusively in this newsletter. These include golf discounts and special menu items available at Hemlock Grill in the clubhouse.
