Greetings friends of Brookline Golf Course,

It’s been quite a journey together, and I’m excited to share with all of you that, last night, the Park & Recreation Commission voted unanimously to approve our Landscape Master Plan.  With their vote, I want to let you know what this means for the course.

Now, with the support of the Park & Recreation Commission, our golf course architect Mark Mungeam and his team of professionals can begin the design phase, based on the concepts outlined in the Landscape Master Plan. We are excited about this opportunity to improve this special property and for its potential to become reality.

As I’ve mentioned in previous communications, our design team has surveyed the entire property including the current drainage, and all of that data is now in a CAD computer where design concepts can be created and tested against various hydrology modeling.  Having this capability will ensure we move forward with projects designed to be most effective in improving the functionality, playability, accessibility, and aesthetics of the golf course.

We couldn’t be more proud of this process and of the work of the Design Review Committee led by Chair Ms. Antonia Bellalta.  The process was comprehensive, transparent and inclusive of our community.  Thank you for your participation, patience, and trust to help bring our golf course forward!

Forward is our future!

Best regards,

Justin Lawson, PGA
