Happy Holidays!

Tis the season to be giving and thankful for what we have.  On behalf of our entire team, we are thankful for your continued support of our golf course.  As many of you are aware, this Fall as part of our Town government process, a Warrant Article was filed by a group of residents who collectively proposed the idea of pausing our landscape master planning process to broaden the scope of this planning to look at the feasibility of other recreational activities and explore the concept of reducing the current golf course to 9 holes.  While the Town Meeting process was a long and thorough discussion at many various boards and commissions, Town Meeting ultimately voted to maintain the current landscape master planning process and preserve the 18-hole golf course.  We are excited to begin the final phase of our Landscape Master Planning Process as we ring in the New Year.  Stay tuned to our website and future email letters detailing all future meetings with the Design Review Committee.

As the holidays arrive, I want to take a moment to thank my entire team for all of their efforts during the 2022 golf season.  2022 was indeed a transformational year as our Town and golf course helped host the U.S. Open, undertook a landscape master plan process, completed construction on many golf course improvements, and hosted several community events.  We were busier than we ever have been before, and our team accepted the challenge and performed exceptionally well.  I’m grateful for everyone’s contribution – please don’t hesitate to thank them during your next visit, I know they appreciate the compliments.

As we close out this golf season, we are eagerly preparing for our inaugural Nordic season at Brookline Golf Course.  We now have our own snowmobile and snow grooming equipment along with a ski and snow shoe rental fleet.  We look forward to perfecting the art of grooming trails during our first snow event, and after that we’ll be open for cross country skiing and snow shoeing.  We will be offering a season pass for trail fees as well as a daily trail fee pass in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned as those offerings are finalized.

In closing, I’m sure you have noticed our new website and logo. We are excited to offer more consistent branding efforts to support the incredible vision of where we see our property going in the near future. Pay close attention to our website for daily updated course and trail conditions.  Please stop by our golf shop over the next few weeks to stock up on our new logoed merchandise and join our community by proudly wearing the logo and symbol of our beloved golf course.

May you and your family enjoy a warm and joyous holiday season!

Best regards,

Justin Lawson, PGA
