Happy Winter/Spring/Winter….,

I hope all of you have enjoyed a healthy new year.  I want to share with you that we’ll have 9 holes of golf open this Friday!  Yes, you read that correctly! We have opened the tee sheet for booking of 9 holes this Friday walking only!  Come on over for no frills golf, and enjoy a walk in the park!

We have been busy getting ready for the 2023 golf season, doing many things to prepare as well as make some new enhancements to our golf experience.  Right now, we are currently underway with some of our annual tree work as part of our tree management plan.

We are also reworking our scorecard with the goal of featuring 5 sets of tee options – 4 colors (Blue, White, Red, and Yellow), as well as a combo tee.  A part of this process is having our friends at MassGolf rate each of the tee options for both our Male and Female golfers.  Our instructional program is being finalized for 2023 with some new junior programs.  Signups will go live on March 1 at 9:00am, so save the date and don’t wait!

On March 19th, we’ll be hosting a free spring community event.  Our inaugural “Bloomin’ & Movin” event on March 19th will provide an opportunity for the community to come out to the golf course, walk on the paths with family and friends, participate in some exercise classes, dance, and enjoy favorites from Hemlock Grill. Please see detailed flyer below.

Our design team is finalizing the Golf Course Landscape Master Plan, which will then be reviewed and voted upon by the Design Review Committee. Supporting this master planning effort was a generous donation from an anonymous member of the public. More information on the anonymous donation can be found here in our course news. They have set up a gift matching opportunity which is tax deductible through the Brookline Community Foundation, and they will be making another $25,000 donation this year for all funds donated for construction of the landscape master plan. I hope that you and your family will consider making a gift to support this project!

In closing, thank you for your support of our beloved golf course.  Keep your fingers crossed, golf season is coming back soon!

Best regards,
